Value Engineering

The process of Value Engineering can have a real impact in driving down your packaging costs. It must be a collaborative approach between the client and supplier, with clarity at all stages. The results are always worth the time and effort.

Tams regularly carry out value engineering projects with our clients. A recent brewery can pack review saw the weight of board used reduce by 26% following a structural design change. This obviously has a major impact on cost.

From looking into changing board brand, to swapping from a GC1 to a GC2, or white line chip. Or maybe moving away from a plastic laminate to an in-line water-based coating, the options are numerous, but the aim is consistent. To reduce cost but not functionality.

Get in touch with one of our experts at Tams and let’s talk about how we can employ Value Engineering in your printed packaging supply chain.
