Solid board cartons are made from a wide variety of different boards.
Probably the most common is white back folding box board (WBFBB) This is usually 100% virgin fibre – it has a coating on one side for strength and superior print quality but if you want a more earthy look then you can print on the uncoated side.
Cream back folding box board is the same as the white, but the uncoated side has more of a cream colour.
White Lined Chipboard (WLC) is at least 85% recycled. It is usually cheaper than the folding box boards but tends to vary in colour, not have the same strength and has an inferior surface so the print quality may not be as consistent.
